There was some posting on facebook about "First they took your medals away, and now this!" - evidently, some folks don't know who Neil Armstrong is and was.
"That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind"
I was right in front of the television when he made that famous step. An American Hero!
He could have been a superstar, but instead, just went on being Neil Armstrong.

I remember watching it, too. I was an Apollo junkie back then. I had a poster of the three astronauts, a cardboard model of the lunar module that I cut off the back of a cereal box and put together (with help from my dad), and all the astronaut toys that were popular back then (Major Matt Mason and friends).
Neil Armstrong was a real hero. It's been said this week that none of them expected to even return home from the mission and when the module landed on the moon, there were only seven seconds worth of fuel left. They don't make them like those guys anymore.

Did you know they are not sure whether Neil said - Thats one smal step for (a) man .... the a is what no one knows. Anyway - Good luck Mr Gorsky!

ha ha ha ha! I had forgotten that Mr. Gorsky bit.
He said "a man" but it wasn't heard until better digitalization of the recording brought it out.
