"Every broken nose has a silver lining."
Klinger has the feeling he forgot something. Then Winchester spills the laundry. While Klinger and Winchester are cleaning up the mess, the generator goes out. Klinger pushes Winchester out of the way just as the autoclave explodes. Klinger gets a broken nose. BJ, who had just come in, is thrown against the wall, injuring his arm. Major Winchester escapes unharmed. Winchester, in gratitude for his life, takes over Klinger's clerking duties and soon becomes a slave as Klinger takes advantage of him. BJ, on the other hand, is concerned over the diminished capacity of his hand. When the x-rays don't show anything, Colonel Potter calls in a specialist, Dr. Norman Traeger. Hawkeye develops an instant dislike for Dr. Traeger very fast and doesn't hesitate to let him know who the chief surgeon is. But, when BJ's arm turns white with pain, Hawkeye turns the scalpel over to Dr. Traeger to do the operation.
Trivia: What is the title and author of the book that Klinger has Winchester read to him?
