"Save me a stalagmite."
The 4077th is caught in a cross-fire on the front lines because I-corps didn't know where they were. Colonel Potter can't identify the camp because he has an old code book. An emergency meeting is called where the staff talks about moving to a cave a half-mile away. Only Hawkeye dissents in the vote. They move into the cave, but Hawkeye can't enter because he is claustrophobic. He decides to sit outside and stand guard. Margaret keeps him company and they talk about reincarnation. Margaret reveals her fear of loud noises. Winchester is also fighting being in the cave and speaking demoralizing remarks. Then one of Hawkeye's patients develops complications. Hawkeye decides to return to camp to re-operate. Margaret volunteers to go with him. While operating, the two play twenty questions. Later, the camp returns home to find Hawkeye and Margaret exhausted and asleep.
Trivia: According to the 4077th's outdated signaling code book, authenticate a Victor Zulu.
Bonus: Who was Margaret thinking of in the 20 questions game?
This is Basil Hoffman's second episode. He was last seen in "Adam's Ribs" (S3). Mark [L.] Taylor would be seen in the movies "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" and "Arachnophobia" among others. He has also guest starred in many TV series and was Henry Silver on "Saving Grace". His voice also starred in the animated versions of "Superman" and "The Mask".
This is an OK episode.
