Yes! My apologies. Life has gotten in the way and with Winter not wanting to leave, it has been hard to realize that Spring is right around the corner. The Live Draft has been set for Friday March 21 at 7pm EST. I realize that this is not an ideal time for all. I had to pick a time BEFORE March 22nd, but I also wanted to make sure we all had time to re-register our teams and select our favored players for the draft in case we couldn't attend. So, with saying that, everyone should go to baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/134178 and add their team, pre-select your players that you wish to have on your team. You should do this ASAP. It must be done at least 30 minutes before the draft. Enjoy and good luck to everyone!

I'm looking forward to it. I haven't played fantasy base ball since the New York Yankees actually mattered in the standings.

We have six teams so far. Still room for more. We have 3 days until the live draft. There's still time to add your team!

There is only about 13 more hours left to sign up for the Fantasy season. Activate your team now.
For those that are signed up. If you find that you won't be able to attend the live draft at 7pm EST tonight, you should pre-rank the players that you want. It's not a guarantee that you will get them (don't I know that!), but if they are available when your turn comes around in the draft, you will get them.
Good luck to everyone and I hope to see you tonight.

I am heartbroken! I totally missed it. My life has changed so much, I no longer work with a computer daily and so it all got away from me. I won't be able to defend my title this year, but will be rooting for you all, and the Beachside Bombers will be back next year for sure.

Ugh, sorry you missed it. I've been very busy and we barely squeezed in the draft before the season began. I haven't been on top of all of the things that I usually do (fun stuff) on the computer/internet recently either or I would have reminded you before the draft. I have to thank the Essex White Sox for allowing the trade of my hometown favorite Thunderbolt, Mike Trout. It may not be much or make much of a difference for my team, but since I do know him and his family, its only fitting that he's on my team

It's actually a very common strategy to draft players that you know your opponents covet. Knowing your opponents can really improve your team. For example, I have a friend who was fanatical about Jason Varitek. For those who don't know, Varitek was a catcher for the Boston Red Sox who played from 1997-2011. It was known that if you drafted Varitek, you could make a trade with my friend in which he might offer you more than what Varitek was worth. I experienced a similar phenomenon in a fantasy football league one time. I knew an owner well enough to know that she was a Dallas Cowboys fan so every time I would try to draft a Cowboys player, most of which I didn't even want anyway, she would begin to worry. I was able to make some deals with her in which she gave up far more than she received. It's all part of the strategy.
