What is your favorite Soccer club (Football for the rest of the world, not that made up American Football)?
My "home" team is the Philadelphia Union that play in the Major League Soccer in the US. They are one of the latest expansion teams added to the league in the last few years. They have had a few successful seasons, but this year they are struggling.
In the English Premier League, I like the Liverpool Football Club. I like them mainly because of their rivalry with Man U, but also a little because of my ancestery. Probably another reason that supported my liking them is a few years ago when my soccer club hosted coaches from the UK. One of guys that were with us for one Summer was a rabid fan of The Reds.

I thought with the international group that we have here, we would have more responses to this question.

Sorry Moonbeam, been meaning to, but life has over took me the last week or so. For me, I've been an Ipswich Town supporter (Tractor Boy) as long as I can remember. The first game i ever went to was in 1978/9, a home game against Crystal Palace, but Dad could only get tickets in the visitors area. So there is me, at 8/9 years old cheering on Ipswich in the oposing teams section. A voice from the upper deck shouts out to 'shut that kid up!" to which another Palace supporter shouts back "leave him alone, at least he's supporting a good team!" At least, that's how my Dad told the story Why Ipswich? I lived in Braintree, Ipswich were the nearest team, and unlike my class mates, I didn't want to support one of the 'big names' that were in London. In 1977/8 they won the FA Cup and the EUEFA Cup (Precursor of all the Champions Leagues etc) Why "Tractor Boy" ? That's because Ipswich is in the middle of Suffolk surrounded by agricultural farms.

I like the dedication to the local team and not going for one of the "bigger" teams. It's like someone around here going for a New York team or another larger market (Dallas, LA, etc).

It's Arsenal all the way for me - I'm an Aussie but most of my family are English and my Uncle lives right by the Arsenal stadium and they are all Arsenal so that's that. Last time we were there Uncle organised a tour of the new stadium - it is awesome!
