For me got to be 5 o'clock Charlie. This is always the first episode I choose when I want to be cheered up. It may be stupid childish comedy but I just love the bits where Hawkeye and Trapper have swapped Frank's gun for various things.
One of my other favourite episodes is Private Charles Lamb. I love the scene at the end where Henry appears holding onto the ouzo bottle, Classic Mclean Stevenson.

Oh it's five o'clock Charlie for me too. The other is the smell of music. I just love the whole idea of smells against music, the hosing down of the stinkers and the runing over of the horn!
In five o'clock Charlie I just love them being very proper Colonial British strolling out with their deck chairs, drinks, umbrellas and all!

Too many to choose from and definitely dependant on mood but at the moment I'm keen on the early Henry episodes and all that wonderful goofing about.

I love all the early ones - and got to agree with 5 O'Clock Charlie. Also love the one where they steal Henry's desk - the looks on Henry and Franks faces as it goes up are priceless.

"The Ringbanger" and "The Abduction of Margaret Houlihan" are a couple of favorites, because of the high-quality writing and the non-stop barrage of great, funny lines. And Col. Flagg was at his best/worst in TAoMH.

Officer of the Day (love Trapper's pinstripe suit) and Deal Me Out are two of my favorites.

OK, favorite.... probably "The more I see you" - it gives us such insight into Hawkeye - his early years - why he is now such a womanizer and against real relationships. We can see his true feelings for Carly, and the pain his dedication causes both of them.
Next Favorite? Old Soldiers - I love Potter's speach about his old friends and his new ones, and his glimpse at his own mortality.

I love the desk episode too. I love how the desk absorbs all Henry's attentionsthroughout all his dealings with people! Maclean Stevenson does it so well. Henry was great! I do also love the Carly episode - for very different reasons. I like seeing that new side of Hawkeye - it's like a glimpse of Hawkeye the civilian. There's some good lines in it too.

Oh, Henry's desk vanishing was wonderful, it had me rolling around laughing! Henry Blake: I'll bet you don't know what kind of wood this is. Radar: It's oak. Henry Blake: Nope. It's oak. Hawkeye: Pardon me, Henry, isn't that your desk? Henry Blake: Yeah, that's my genuine antique desk. Trapper: Sending it out to be waxed? Henry Blake: I'm not sure what it's doing up there. Just keeps going up... up... up...

For me, it's "Your Hit Parade" (6x19), because it reminds me of when I was a school DJ in grade 8, and none of the other kids liked it when I was on the air, because I didn't play any music they liked: my middle school was right smack-dab in the middle of the ghetto, those kids wanted to hear hard-core rap and hip-hop, and I was playing oldies and 80s and such, lol.
I didn't wear sunglasses or a Hawaiian shirt though, lol.
