My family has a vacation cabin in the wilds of Vermont that we used to go to for a week every summer when I was little. Since I turned 18 and was always working full time, I hadn't been up there in 10 years, up until last summer. I decided to go up with my father for two weeks since I've been out of a job and the timing was perfect. This year, I'm going up again, and I'm leaving June 20th for another two weeks, give or take. I've been very into writing snail mail letters lately, so I was just wondering if anyone would like a postcard while I'm gone. If you would, feel free to PM me your address!

Pink and em, I can still send both of you postcards! Pink, I know you gave your address, so I'll send that right out! Em, would you still like one? And thanks, guys! I did have a good time! If any of you are on Facebook and are interested, I'll be putting up photos very soon, so I can always "friend" you if you'd like to take a look. Just let me know!

Hi everyone! I know this is a tiny group these days, and I'm pretty sure that everyone who wants a postcard has said so, which is fine. I just wanted to put it out there that if anyone ever wants a card in general, not just from vacation spots, let me know! I love handwritten mail (both sending and receiving) and due to being involved in the www.postcrossing.com website, I always have hundreds of postcards hanging around, along with plenty of stamps. So feel free to randomly ask and voice any preferences you might have if you're ever interested.

I received mine! Thanks so much! Your trip looks like it was fab, I love the NJ ones, and especially the old vintage ones.
The handwriting looks just like my grandmothers!!! LOL, they must have had a particular way they taught it back then.
Thanks again!!!!!!!!!

Pink, you're certainly right about the handwriting!! I actually mentioned this to my own grandmother when she was still alive. Not to sound know-it-all-ish, but I think this is kind of cool. I love historic bits of information like this. Back then, they had three distinct methods of cursive handwriting- Spencerian Script (1840), Palmer Method (1888) and D'Nealian (1978) . So any writing you see where the person was born between 1840 and 1978 will have one of those styles. Apparently these days anything goes as long as it's legible. My grandmother was a "Palmer girl" too! She had that writing exactly!
