I am a magician and balloon artist for the most part. I also work about 8 hours a month as a phlebotomist. I also rate values of mobile homes for a local bank. K you do believe in diversity don't you!! I could not do the same thing over and over, I also am a wedding officiate, own 4 rental units and occasionally pick up bodies with a local funeral home, not my favorite but its a job. I have been doing this kind of stuff since I was 35 and work about 10-15 hours a week and LOVE it. It allows me to do my favorite activity, spending time with my wife of 15 years. K

What a wonderful position to be in - especially if you still have your health and your youth!!! Take some time, and find what excites you!!!! Good Luck! Thanks, pinkpagoda! I'm certainly trying. In the time I've had between jobs, I've really discovered photography and wouldn't mind if someone dropped a $100,000 a year job traveling and taking photos all over the world right in my lap. lol But as I don't foresee that happening (unless any of you are in the position to do so??), I'll keep looking! I really did love animal medicine, but as anyone who's ever worked with the public can say, there are some real loony tunes out there that just make you hate your job and everyone around you. I really got to the point where people as a whole drove me completely insane. Especially when they're bring little fluffy into the vet's office, sick and needing urgent care, but would refuse to pay for it. And I'm sure moonbeam can attest to this, but people also continuously LIE to anyone in the health care profession and I got sick of that too. Especially if I was the first one to talk to a client about the patient, then I'd relay the information to the doctor and as soon as the doctor walked into the room, the story changed immediately, making me look like the idiot. It's time for something fun for a change. Something that isn't so dramatic and isn't necessarily a life or death matter. So for now, while I'm looking for a new job, I'm also enjoying my time to just...relax and, as cliche as this is, to find myself again. And I've apparently discovered that I like to ramble!

I'm a producer and a puppeteer, presently struggling at the moment, as I've had a tremendous series of headaches and nightmares lately, it seems as if any new project I try to work on ends up blowing up in my face for one reason, or another, so times have really been frustrating lately. My work can be viewed at YouTube, that is, if anyone is interested. www.youtube.com/JosephScarbroughI hope to pick back up soon, I've got some plans for this year's holiday season that I'm looking forward to working on.

I run a pub. Been in catering all my working life and been manager of music bars, hotels, the 3rd oldest pub in Britain, and currently in a beautiful 450 year old pub in a lovely little village in Hertfordshire. Sounds very idillic, and it would be if it wasn't for all of the customers who wanted wining & dining. We are very busy and when the sun comes out....we run for the hills!!!
I do love my job, I love chatting to customers, love the locals & love looking after people & helping them make their outing special. It comes at a price though. Long hours and constantly juggling the kids can make it very stressful.
So, if anyone is in Hertfordshire...pop in & say hi....the rounds on me!

I'm a radio producer/announcer for a classical music station, a part-time photographer, and also run a small theatre company in my so-called spare time. And I somehow manage to have a life somewhere in between...
