"The meek shall inherit the north forty."
There is a meeting in Colonel Potter's office where the colonel reads a letter from Radar. It says the farm is a big success. When Klinger gives the letter to Father Mulcahy, he breaks the colonel's "other pair" of glasses. In the mess tent there is fresh coleslaw brought by Park Sung, a young Korean farmer. His glasses are all taped together and he is carrying a sick rabbit. When the eye doctor, Dr. Bud Myron Herzog, comes, he fits both Colonel Potter and Park Sung for glasses. Then Margaret comes in and acts if she was in love with Dr. Herzog so the doctor will check her eyesight. She is told she will need glasses someday. This puts her in a bad mood. When Bud comes again, he and Margaret keep Hawkeye and BJ wondering what is going on between them. Later, wounded come and Park Sung is one of them. He has no place to go now so Hawkeye and BJ let him live in the Swamp. Colonel Potter decides to call Radar at home and finds out from Radar's mother that things aren't going as well as the letter said. The staff decides to send Park Sung to Iowa to help Radar out. Hawkeye and BJ make a garden outside of the Swamp.
Trivia: What's the name of Parc Sung's rabbit? What is its problem?
Bonus: What is Mildred's pet name for Colonel Potter?
Dear Colonel:
This is Walter, formerly "Radar", O'Reilly writing to you from Ottumwa, Iowa, U. S. of A. It's kind of funny being a civilian human again. There's no one to give me orders except Mom of course, Ha Ha. Guess what? I'm making the farm a great big success. It's gonna be our best year ever wheat-wise. I've got corn coming out of my ears and I look to make a pretty penny. I guess you really do reap what you sew (sic). Sirs, I really miss you people, but sometimes I get so busy I forget to. Then when I remember I miss you all twice as much. And every night I pray for this police action war to get over so you can all come back to the people you love. Well, I've got to get off this letter and on the tractor, so give my love to Hawkeye and everyone else -- even Major Winchester. I bet he makes a face when he hears that. Anyway, no matter how successful I get, I'll always be your Radar.
Sincerely yours in long distance affection.
Walter O'Reilly
Gentleman, Farmer.
Philip Sterling appeared as recurring character Dr. Simon Weiss on TV's "St. Elsewhere".
This a boring and forgettable episode.
