"At ease, Margaret."
It is unbearably hot. Everyone is tossing and turning in bed. Finally, Colonel Potter gets up to get a sleeping pill and finds Klinger engaged in dismantling the P. A. system. BJ annoys Hawkeye when he turns on the light to reread a letter from home. Peg says the gutters have to be cleaned out. Winchester is not in the Swamp. He is using the entire mess tent to organize papers for paying his taxes. Father Mulcahy walks in and starts helping him out. He is almost organized when Igor walks in to start breakfast and turns on a fan. There is a patient in O. R. and Margaret gets up to help. She has a bad rash on her rear which she is trying to hide from the doctors. In O. R. she is making unusual movements to try to scratch without anyone noticing. Hawkeye and BJ, who are operating get Colonel Potter, now essentially dead from his sleeping pill, up to order a chopper for the morning to evacuate the patient. Winchester wakes him up a second time for carbon paper. When Margaret finds out that the chopper is coming, she gets the colonel up a third time to get some rash medicine on the chopper. Just as Margaret is discussing her problem with the colonel, Klinger gets the P. A. fixed. News of her rash is broadcast all over camp. Margaret destroys the P. A.
Trivia: What happened to the Winchester accountant?
Potterism: "Great Caesar's salad!"
Colonel Potter says he has two grandchildren now. This is a slight departure from both Season 4 where his only child, a son, has his first grandchild and Season 7 where his only child, a daughter, has a son named Corey (In later seasons, the name will change). Klinger says that only Colonel Potter knows the combination to the company safe but, in "Point of View" (S7), Radar suggests that everyone knows it. Perhaps the colonel had the combination changed.
This is a very good episode. It is rolling-on the floor funny. The best episode of Season 9.
