"I've got to live for tomorrow because, for me, there is no now."
Aggie O'Shea, a famous war artist, comes in on the ambulance bus along with Private Scott, Scotty. After O. R. the medical staff talks to her and she offers them anything they want from Tokyo. Hawkeye orders scotch, Margaret orders bath soap, BJ wants a peanut butter sandwich. Hawkeye is using all of his tricks to get Aggie's attention including riding a bicycle into post-op. She, however, is trying to get BJ's attention by cracking puns with him. She finally makes BJ feel uncomfortable with all of her compliments. She paints a picture of BJ and they start spending time together. But, when BJ finds out about the stories and rumors that are going around camp, he has to break Aggie's heart. Aggie puts a lifesaver around BJ in her drawing of him that she gives to Colonel Potter.
Trivia: What was written on the life saver in the painting of BJ?
Bonus: How did Aggie say she got her start?
Hawkeye mentions that BJ has been "down this road before." He is probably referring to "Hanky Panky" (S5). There is a short tribute to Radar in this episode as Aggie asks Colonel Potter about his paintings.
Susan Saint James was already a familiar face starring as Peggy Maxwell in "The Name of the Game" and Sally McMillan in "McMillan and Wife". Later she would be Kate on "Kate and Allie". She also starred in the movie "Love at First Bite" among others.
This episode is a yawner. It seems to be Mike Farrell writing and directing himself to be Hawkeye instead of BJ.
