What?!?! No auto insurance again!!!! This marks the 4th time I've been hit by an uninsured motorist!!!!
I got hit a week ago, and have just come to find out that the person that hit me had a fraudulent insurance card. The trooper handling the crash treated me like public enemy #1 just 'cause my card wasn't as current as it could have been.... (I hadn't put the updated card in my vehicles yet)
Also, I have $1000 deductible on my collision coverage to keep costs down. I figured with the laws as they are the odds of getting hit by an uninsured again was pretty high. WRONG!
My ins will cover all my medical, but with the big deductible on the car, I can't afford to get my Mustang fixed.
THe first one (late 80's) was at night, in my black Ranger, ok, I understand not seeing that... Ranger drove home with minor damage, '72 Monte Carlo goes home on a hook
Next one mid (90's) my poor Ranger gets it again! Ranger a little worse for wear this time, but still drives home, Mercury cougar = Engine driven into driver's compartment! (my back is still a mess from that one)
Then in the mid "naughties" my news truck got hit.... Tell me,,, How does one not see a snow white SUV with big bright NBC peacocks all over it?!?!?!
This one... I had just turned on to this 5 lane (2 north, 2 south 1 turning lane / 35mph limit) This intersection is kind of an odd duck... There is a traffic light in front of a shopping complex. However, there is a side road about 20 yards before the light. So, the light turns yellow, and this big F-250 stops in the left hand lane to let a car turn on to affore mentioned side road, however, nobody bothered to check if anything was coming in the right hand lane! Dam good thing I was already slowing for the light... I saw a dark green flash, I jump on the breaks and lock 'em up. I just caught the corner of the forest green Saturn with corner of my pretty red Mustang. The Saturn darted into the lot of the Heep Tobacco store, driver jumps out and heads for the door. (I figure she's gonna grab her smokes fast and split the scene) I yell "don't you dear leave" and about that time a witness in an obvious manner takes down her plate number... I was transported to Good Samaritan medical center by Falls township EMS, where I was treated and released for whiplash of the lower back and neck. The Mustang needs a bumper cover, passenger side headlight with bucket, and there's a small wrinkle in the fender. I didn't get a clear look at the other car.
