In one ep of Smallville, they have aquaman who can swim faster than Superman. Isn't Superman supposed to be faster, stronger than all others? And why not any other creatures than aquaman in the series? I believe, and I could be incorrect, that DC has established that the Flash is faster than Superman. It makes sense that Aquaman, King of the Seven Seas, would be able to swim faster than Superman can. After all, most of the DC characters would seem rather pitiful if Superman could outdo them all.

Hi Cbourassa and good point. I kinda see Superman as the best, being Super and all. u That can be a problem, though. One of the reasons I was never really a fan of Superman was because he was nigh invincible with an incredible amount of superpowers. It's also one of the reasons why I was such a fan of Batman.

Hi C. When aquaman was in one ep and Superman says, ' he can swim faster than I can', I felt a bit sick as if lowering the wholeness of Super. Bit silly isn't it?. Kinda like hearing God has all the power, rules the universe and total love etc and can change the world to a perfect state, but doesn't. So Far.

As a lifelong fan of Batman, I'd probably feel jaded if some version of the character included something that went against the history of the character. It was my assumption that other DC characters were included in Smallville either because of poor ratings or because Warner Brothers/DC wanted to spinoff these characters into their own television series. In the latter case, they would need to show that these characters were superior in their respective powers (running for Flash, swimming for Aquaman, etc.).
